Professor David Epstein, 46, a popular educator at Columbia University, has been charged with committing incest with his daughter over a span of three years. Professor Epstein told the press the relationship actually began in 2006 when the victim was 18 and was consensual. His wife, Sharon O’Halloran, chair of the Executive Committe of Columbia University declined an interview with the press.
Professor Epstein specializes in American Politics and Voting Rights. He has taught at Harvard and Stanford Universities and blogs on a regular basis with The Huffington Post. If convicted, he faces a mere four years in prison. He was released on his own recognizance.

John Cooper Spinks, 41, a former school bus driver for the Hall County district was sentenced to six years in federal prison for the distribution, receipt, and possession of child pornography. In addition, he will be under another 20 years of superversion. He was also fined $2,000. There is no parole within the federal prison system.
According to the indictment Spinks distributed images of child porn over the Internet to an undercover investigator while in a Chat Room called “#baby&toddlerlove”. Over a period of several more months, Spinks was also contacted repeatedly in the same chat room uploading child porn images. On March 25, 2010, federal agents executed a search warrant for John Cooper Spinks home and seized his laptop computer and numerous other electronic devices and media. Agents also confiscated hundreds of images of child porn on his computers.
